Maxialto
Co., Ltd. was founded on
11th March
1997 as a solid wood furniture trading company.
Working closely with various wooden furniture
factories in the Kingdom of Thailand, we
established a reputable name with our clients
based in Italy. |
The company grew at
a steady rate and gained vast experience
in this field. A warehouse facility was
set up in Arezzo in Tuscany, Italy and distribution
of our Italian Farmhouse range expanded
to all regions of Italy including as far
reached as the islands of Sardinia and Sicily. |
Unfortunately, a fire
at the warehouse in Arezzo meant that the
company was forced to start over, and in
fact, with the high operation costs of maintaining
an Italian facility, the company changed
direction to warehouse material in Thailand
before shipping material to clients. This
proved to be a shrewd move and helped the
company expand into further markets in Europe,
Asia and the Americas. |
Due to the economic
problems in the region during the late 1990’s
many furniture factories were taking a lot
of financial hits. The real effects of this
were not fully felt until the early part
of the 21st
Century as factories struggled to try and
repay debts and create a liquid environment.
The result was that many factories were
losing employees, could not maintain pricing
or were just closing down completely. |
In contrast, by late
2003, Maxialto
Co., Ltd. were in a position
of strength and requiring further expansion.
The opportunity arose to enter into manufacturing
directly and by mid 2004 we had acquired
our own furniture manufacturing facility
in Nakhon Si Thammarat in the South of Thailand.
The facility was renamed Maxialto Furniture
Industries. We have now expanded our export
to Korea and the USA. |
In 2004 a partnership
was also formed in San Francisco called
American Modern Furniture Inc. as a new
distribution company for our modern line
of furniture in the United States. |
